The awakening

Continued from HERE.

Two weeks pass.

And Noel has been saved. She is still unconscious, but her body is completely healed, due to the Bacta Tank they had her in. Even though the Bacta did its job and healed her wounds, she still has some scaring and permanent fur loss.

A droid doctor approaches Noel, needle in hand. It inserts the needle into a tube that runs to Noel neck. The droid then continues to inject Noel with the drug that is in the needle.

The captain is standing nearby waiting. He asks the droid, "How long will it take?"

The droid answers in a mechanical voice, "A minute or two, sir."

They stand and wait until the drug takes effect. Soon Noel starts to open her eyes. She looks around in an confused state. She thinks to herself, Whaaa, where am I, ohhh my head hurts so bad. I'm not dead, but how can that be, I was so sure of it. These people, they saved me..... Ohhhhh man.... She tries to sit up but her head starts to spin, so she lays back down.

A young slave girl named Sevan comes over and gives Noel a hand.

"Easy now, here I'll help you." She says as she helps Noel sit up. Noel sits up again, her head is starting to feel better.

She looks at Sevan and asks in a weak voice. "Where am I? What happened?"

Sevan looks at her boss then back at Noel. "Do you want some water?"

Noel looks at the man standing on her other side, then back at Sevan she nods and says. "Yes, that would be great." As Sevan leaves, Noel looks at the man and asks. "What happened to me, I should be dead..... did you save me?"

The man looks at Noel and says "Your questions will be answered later." And he walks away. Just as he was leaving the room, Sevan enters, "Take her to holding cell number 4, I'm sure her friend will be happy to see her again." He whispers to her.

Sevan say, "Yes, Sir." She wonders why he wants them to together, but at least this means one less cell to clean and supply with the necessities. So she decides not to ask. She approaches Noel and hands her the glass of water. Noel drinks it, and says. "Thank you," setting the empty glass down on the end table.

Sevan helps Noel up and quietly takes her out of the room. Two droids wait just outside the door and start to follow them as they continue down the hall and into an elevator. Once on the elevator Noel turns to Sevan and asks once again "What's going on?"

Sevan looks at Noel with sad eyes and says. "You are a prisoner on the ship that attacked you." Noel gives Sevan an angry look and is just about to fight. Sevan just looks at the droids and says. I wouldn't try to fight, they can do some harm..... trust me. Any way, there may be someone who wants to see you, in one piece" She said with a smile, as the elevator door opens.

Noel calms down and asks as she continues to follow Sevan "You mean Zebb, he is here, alive."

Sevan nods and says. "He has been so worried about you. I have been telling him you are okay and keeping him updated on your progress."

"You have talked to him?" Asks Noel.

"Yes, everyday, two or three times.... when ever I see him. " She says, and continues "I'm not supposed to talk to the prisoner, but I do anyway. Did you realize Zebb really loves you, and he was so upset when he thought you had died. All he wanted to do was to hold you and say goodbye. It tore him up so bad.... It took me three days to get him to say anything. And that was only after I had mention something about you. I didn't realize you two knew each other, till then.

"How is he?" Asked Noel.

"See for yourself." Said Sevan smiling as they stopped at a door.
